We’re one year old and going strong

The Cardiff Radical Socialist Forum website celebrates its first birthday today. Originating as the mouthpiece of Cardiff Permanent Revolution, the site has been transformed into a home for all groups and individuals involved in the Cardiff forum. From now on the home page will be used for news items which link to a comments page where various opinions can be expressed on the issues of the day. Meanwhile the forum will continue to meet as a body at the start of each month, continuing its aim of bringing the best left speakers to Cardiff and encouraging open and comradely discussion.

Over the past year this site has played a crucial role not only in supplying up-to-date news and opinion about the political scene in South Wales and beyond, but also in helping build important mobilisations such as the demos against the Anne Widdecombe anti-choice meeting and the proposed St Athan military academy. In that time we’ve had nearly ten thousand hits, traffic building steadily over the year.

The next meeting of the forum will be on Tuesday 4 November (see ad) on the credit crunch. This time it will be held at the university, in the Bute Building. More details to follow.
